President maam- warmly welcomed all- specially the incoming board and President 2026-2027 for the joint board meeting, She said - this is the last Board Meeting of her tenure 2025-2026 that she is conducting. We may have one pre-Board meeting before the installation, before she officially hand over to Rtn. Anupam. (President elect) 1. Strategic Plan of the club - for presenting the DG on next Tuesday- Joint Board meetings – symbolise Key discussions-about certain projects that we would like next President - Rtn. Anupam to continue, so that they become part of the club’s long-term vision and continuity plan.

The AG 2025-2026 was Felicitated by President with a shawl and gift by the incoming AG 2026-2027 of our Zone Rtn Dr. Mrinal Barthakur, a special pride for our club. Followed by welcoming the AG to the Dais. After the felicitation the Secretary one by one date wise explained the projects and handed over a detailed report to the Assistant Governor of the projects done by the club under the able leadership of the President. ( 26 projects , 18regular meetings, 8 board meetings, 1 club assembly , Charter Night and 5 special celebrations (women’s day, Christmas, Holi, Pre Diwali /post puja celebration, lunch fellowships. Bihu celebrations) 7 flag exchanges including the one international flag exchange, 2 members inducted , 10 flagship Public Image Projects, 4 district events attended

Assistant Governor’s Official Visit (5th May) The President informed the Board that Mr. Lato, Assistant Governor, expressed his intent to visit the Club during the first week of May. Accordingly, 5th May, being the regular meeting day, was proposed and confirmed. • The Assistant Governor has requested a written report of all projects undertaken till date, to be submitted for onward reporting to the District Governor. Audited Balance Sheet (FY 2024–25) The Secretary presented the audited financials and clarified the following: • The Rotary financial year runs from July to June. • A DG Grant of ₹28,000 for a solar project (from FY 2022–23) was recorded as receivable but has not been received till date.

Community Service – Maternal & Child Welfare Support o It was informed that 40 sets of newborn baby clothes containing vest,cap, socks and a towel set – has been arranged for distribution by President maam at The New born baby ward of Nazareth Hospital on the 28th of April, 2. Blood Donation Awareness Project- o A blood donation initiative was scheduled for 22nd April at BSS College, 3. District Project – Egg Push Cart Initiative o The club discussed participation in the district-level Egg Push Cart Project.

142nd Regular Meeting

The Club will bear minimal expenses- primarily transportation charges from Guwahati to Shillong and initial operational costs buying- eggs carton, the initial purchase of chicken. The President also shared that coordination has been established with the Rotary Club of Guwahati South, where multiple carts have already been successfully distributed to beneficiaries. Considering the feasibility and impact of the project, the Club has decided to proceed with the allotment of one cart.

Most awaited Vocational Award Ceremony, Before we began with the felicitation, Rtn. Dasumarlin requested Rtn. Ranjeeta to kindly come up on stage and share with us the significance of the Khasi symbols depicted on the pal-card, which are being gifted to the Awardees, beautifully showcases three cultural elements — the ryndia, the drum, and the cherry blossom — all of which are also represented on our Club Flag. These three elements have been thoughtfully incorporated into our Club Flag — a concept envisioned by our Charter Members when they named our club Rotary Club of Shillong Heritage.

Our club inaugurated the School Hall, provided benches, desks, blackboards and a drinking water area. The club also completed the painting and cleaning up of the school. The Club President received a letter from the School Committee as an expression of gratitude. small celebration and fellowship after the meeting on account of the Festival of Holi. The meeting was followed by cutting a cake on account of the upcoming International Women’s Day. And a Visitor from RC Bangalore Central who attended our meeting.

Pratidhawni, the District Conference, was a vibrant and memorable celebration of Rotary fellowship, service, and inspiration.
